Aloha,  My Name is Thomas Stevens and I was born and raised in Hilo in 1975.  I've aspired to be a Carpenter from day one when I was in grade school at about the time I could effectively use a hammer.  While growing up, I dreamed of one day building great homes and big buildings.  That vision and dreams are still with me today.  Back in the early 90’s,  I was fortunate to have landed a job as a laborer for a well known and respected Hilo Contractor.  At that time, the company had 4 General Contractors, 6 Journeymen, and as many as 20 laborers under its operations.  The level of training I had received was about the best you could get here in Hawaii.  It was like working for 4 different Construction companies, each with its own unique style and very diverse methods of teaching, all in one place.  I cannot express enough thanks to those who shared their knowledge and helped me grow through those years.  High quality workmanship and service was always at the top level and I had learned some really important values throughout those years.  

One of them was to never cut-short on any project, even if it meant incurring a loss. Perfection was maintained until the very end, and quality shall never be compromised under any circumstance.  It was a once in a lifetime gift to have been mentored by such great Contractors, and TNS Construction will be proud to carry on those values.

      I would like to thank my former employers,foremen, and sub-contractors for sharing their knowledge and giving me the tools and values to become a very respectful Contractor today.
